Introduction
This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs the reservation, purchase, and cancellation of vehicles from Al Siddique Motors Ltd., a car dealership operating in Kenya. By placing a deposit or completing a purchase, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Vehicle Booking Fees (Holding Deposits)
To reserve a vehicle and remove it from the market, a Booking Fee or Holding Deposit is required.
- Non‑Refundability: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, booking fees are non‑refundable if the customer cancels the purchase due to a change of mind, personal reasons, or failure to complete payment within the agreed timeframe.
- Refund Exceptions: A full refund of the booking fee will be issued if:
- Al Siddique Motors Ltd. is unable to complete or fulfill the sale, or
- The vehicle is found to have a significant mechanical defect that was not previously disclosed prior to reservation.
Financing & Credit Applications
Where a vehicle purchase is expressly dependent on approval from a bank, Sacco, or other financing institution:
- If the financing application is declined despite the customer acting in good faith, the booking fee may be refunded, less a reasonable administrative or processing fee.
- Proof of financing application and rejection may be required.
Vehicle Returns
Once a vehicle sale has been finalized and the vehicle has been delivered or collected, returns are generally not accepted.
- Returns or remedies may only apply where required by applicable Kenyan consumer protection laws, particularly in cases involving latent or undisclosed defects.
- Customers are strongly encouraged to conduct a thorough inspection and test drive before making final payment.
Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved, it will be processed within a reasonable timeframe using the original payment method where possible, subject to banking or payment provider timelines.
